52" wing in clamps The edges were planed, the joined with biscuits. 3/4" Stop cuts are laid in with a small router, then carving begins with 1" gouges.

The head is finished, and the left leg is in clamps. It is 6 pieces glued up so no seams overlap. The entire sculpture will be "puzzled" together, with grain direction taken into consideration to ensure strength. The right leg and part of mid-section will also be glued up next.
